In 2020, my world was forever changed with the loss of my mother to colon cancer. Her passing served as a wake-up call, urging me to reevaluate my unhealthy and unfulfilling life. At that point, I was in my mid-50s, carrying an extra 40 pounds, feeling fatigued, rundown, and battling Celiac disease and tachycardia. I was losing sight of who I truly was, constantly prioritizing others while neglecting my own well-being. However, today, I stand before you as a completely transformed individual.
My journey began by committing to walking 10,000 steps every single day, regardless of the circumstances. I then incorporated bodyweight exercises to build strength. With each passing day, I grew stronger, not only physically but also mentally. I am delighted to share that I no longer rely on medication for tachycardia, and my thyroid medication has been significantly reduced. Though I occasionally experience some gut issues, they pale in comparison to what I once endured. Through the use of probiotics and creative cooking with nourishing ingredients, I have found ways to manage and alleviate these challenges. This new lease on life has opened doors to countless possibilities, allowing me to explore new experiences, revel in good health, and find profound joy.
My dedication to personal growth led me to graduate from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (INN) in New York. This invaluable education has empowered me to help others discover their own path to holistic well-being through integrative health coaching. I am passionate about inspiring and supporting individuals as they embark on a journey of self-discovery, embracing vibrant health, joy, and the passions that define their authentic selves. As an additional benefit, my background as a former chef has instilled in me a deep love for all things food – from teaching to cooking. I take great pleasure in creating nutritious and healing meals that tantalize the taste buds while nourishing the body and mind.
